G-Stix® Sword Buoy Float

Precision Depth Control for the Modern Swordfisherman

When targeting daytime swordfish, success often comes down to covering as much of the water column as possible. The G-Stix® Sword Buoy Float is designed to accurately suspend your second and/or third presentation above your tip rod, allowing you to target multiple depth zones simultaneously and increase your chances of finding actively feeding fish and indicate a strike by laying flat on the water when a sword has taken the bait and is rising.

Simply attach the stainless steel longline clip to the loop on your pre-marked main line at your desired depth and deploy the float behind your boat as far back as you wish. Whether you're fishing your buoy rod at 1,400 feet, 1,600 feet, or any other depth, the G-Stix Sword Buoy Float provides dependable flotation and consistent depth control, and strike indication throughout the drift.

Built with reliability in mind, every float is rigged with 300 lb premium monofilament, wrapped in neon green holographic vinyl for excellent visibility, professionally crimped and protected with durable crimp sleeve protectors to guard against abrasion and extend service life in the harsh offshore environment.

Available in FOUR buoyancy sizes, you can choose the float that best matches your fishing conditions—from calm days with minimal current to stronger currents requiring additional flotation.

Why Fish a Buoy Rod?

A buoy rod allows you to fish a second bait hundreds of feet above your bottom presentation, targeting swordfish that may be suspended well off the bottom. By fishing multiple depths during the same drift, you can quickly dial in where the fish are feeding and maximize every opportunity. If your buoy pole and flag are laying flat to the surface, you know it's Game On!

Fish deeper. Fish smarter. Cover more water with confidence.
